There’s more! Have you heard of the City of Oneonta’s District Geothermal Feasibility Study?
The concept of this project is to explore the feasibility of introducing thermal district opportunities to downtown Oneonta, New York, either at a centralized level and/or coupled with building specific heat pump systems, as a cost effective alternative to the existing natural gas utility network. The feasibility study will quantify the heating and cooling load requirements of a geographically defined district and balance those demands with available thermal resources including but not limited to traditional ground loops, wastewater heat recovery, surface water, aquifer thermal storage, and thermal load sharing among buildings in the loop.
